Director of Software Engineering

The Director of of Software Engineering will report to the Chief Technology Officer and will manage multiple teams of software developers. The Director will be responsible for the ongoing development, delivery, and maintenance of our software offerings as well as developing and nurturing the software engineering team.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage the software development lifecycle
• Collaborate with other departments and executives to assist in shaping product roadmaps
• Oversee testing and quality assurance
• Manager vendor and contractor relationships
• Mentor and coach team members
• Maintain and generate reports. Communicate with CTO and leadership team
• Run teams and sprints to experiment with new technologies and future product offerings
• The ability to understand, review, and understand code. Dive in and code alongside the team if needed.

Required

• Solid understanding and experience using agile development processes
• Veteran experience in software architecture and design principles
• Solid understanding and experience managing testing and continuous integration
• Solid understanding of AWS and deployment principles
• 10+ years of senior development experience
• 3-5+ years experience managing teams
• Familiarity with machine learning and/or experience building consumer-facing products
• Python

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $110,000.00 to $130,000.00 /year
