Oak Manor Center in Burtonsville is looking for an experienced Director of Nursing to organize and oversee all nursing operations of the facility. Create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies.
The Director of Nursing:
- Directs the Nursing Department and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards to maintain quality standards of care in accordance with current Federal and State standards, guidelines and regulations
- Conducts the nursing process â assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation â under the scope of the State’s Nurse Practice Act of Registered Nurse licensure.
- Direct, oversee and evaluate all nursing personnel (RN, LPN, GNA.)
- Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
- Organize and coordinate admission, nursing and patient care procedures
- Control budgets and monitor expenditures
- Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
- Collaborate with other departments and professionals to streamline operations
- Fosters an environment of continuous improvement of nursing services and staff to meet patients/residents and their families’ needs and expectations
Educational Requirements
Current Maryland Register License; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Position Requirements
- Five years nurse management experience (preferred)
- 2 years long term care experience (required)
- Knowledge of MDS process
- Valid nursing and CPR certification
- Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
- Great communication and organizational skills
- Aptitude in problem-solving
- On-call availability
