Position Purpose:
Under the general direction of the CFO for a division and by working with other leaders throughout Renown, the incumbent is responsible for the identification, development and enhancement of reports, systems and procedures to allow for accurate and timely monitoring and reporting of operating results versus established goals, best practices and benchmarks. The incumbent is responsible for regularly and routinely identifying financial improvement opportunities including controlling costs and improving operational efficiencies and for presenting those opportunities as tenaciously clear information to various stakeholders throughout the organization.
Nature and Scope:
The incumbent is responsible for the identification, development and enhancement of reports, systems and procedures to allow for the accurate and timely monitoring and reporting of operating results and financial improvement opportunities. In this role, the incumbent will assist in the development of plans that support the assigned division’s ability to develop and maintain success as profitable divisions in an environment of increased government oversight, reduced payer reimbursements and required cost containment. The position is responsible for all monthly financial reporting, operating and capital budget planning, five-year financial planning and business case development for the divisions.
The position is responsible for partnering with the operational leaders by providing financial information for decision-making. The position has frequent contact with all levels of management and employees by providing advisory and ongoing training and support in the appropriate use of the hospital’s financial data. This position is the key leader in implementing a customer service focused department to ensure that the customer’s financial needs are met timely. In addition, the position ensures that the financial staff understands the operational scope of the services provided to each department and the primary business purpose of efforts undertaken by the divisions.
Some of the challenges of this position include leading a finance team that provides timely and accurate information. The incumbent must be capable of and comfortable with shifting priorities at a moment’s notice and as information and organizational needs change. The position is challenged with providing continuous communication regarding the status of financial requests.
This position has access to proprietary information and has contact with external organizations and customers and will maintain high standards of professionalism, communication, performance and respect for confidentiality.

Minimum Qualifications: Requirements – Required and/or Preferred
Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing, and speaking English. Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business administration or finance. Applicants with an MBA will be given preference.
Experience:
At least five years of healthcare finance experience or five years of management experience or at least five years with a combination of both. Financial planning and budgeting, cost management, business case development and public speaking and presentations experience is required.

Computer / Typing:
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced working knowledge of Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel and Word and have the ability to use the computer to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
