What You’ll Do…
The main purpose of the role is to have someone who manages taking design (creative development) into finished, final, printable files packaging ready to hand-off to the commercialization team. Also, this role involves the management of the process to ensure that key milestones are met to deliver design assets on time, meeting in-market deadlines.

Accountabilities:

  • Process all incoming requests (from design lead) efficiently:

    • assess scope and completeness of information of incoming requests
    • collaborate with design and execution teams to anticipate and plan for upcoming project requests

  • Get projects started:

    • work with managers to officially green light and kick off projects, assessing scope, feasibility, complexity, timing, and resource management
    • establish and communicate project priority, and start/completion dates to stakeholders

  • Gather elements vital to projects, like copy and creative assets, from cross-functional teams and provide to designers/design execution lead
  • Oversee Design Extrapolation:
  • work with design execution to flush out design concept into packaging mechanical files and visual identity (VIS) assets that meet print standards and yield optimal print quality
  • Provide direction regarding layout/graphics to ensure design consistency. Trouble shoot as needed and involve design to gain alignment/approval

  • Managing project workflow and timelines:

    • maintain list of projects by priority
    • troubleshoot projects and clear obstacles to ensure timely delivery
    • proactively communicate progress, as well as risks and consequences associated with obstacles and changes in scope

  • Implementing finished projects:
  • ensure packaging mechanical files and VIS assets are provided to approved global studios for local implementation


Qualifications/Requirements

  • 12+ years relevant work experience in project management within a creative team (preferably packaging specific)
  • Ability to grasp design vision and lead a team to develop printability files across a variety of pack sizes, substrates and flavors
  • Ability to work well with cross-functional teams and an inherent knowledge of when to collaborate (gather relevant information, etc.) and when to facilitate
  • Well organized with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities that are on similar and/or competing time lines
  • Ability to prioritize projects by level importance and scale
  • Communicate confidently and effectively under pressure, verbally and in writing
  • Comfort with taking responsibility, following through, and being accountable
  • Resourcefulness, resilience, and a calm sense of urgency
  • Strong problem solving with the ability to identify and recommend alternative paths to success
  • Excellent organizational skills. Must be detail oriented and able to process large amounts of information
  • Computer skills: Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud
