Overview

The Creative Services Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the flow of projects and jobs through Creative Services, from conception to final delivery. The Creative Services Project Manager will review all incoming jobs and assigns to the appropriate creative team members. The Creative Services Project Manager will track project progress leveraging project tracking software and report project milestones, status, and risks. Working with the Director of Creative and Advertising, this role provides support for the Creative team to control work flow and maximize resources to complete tasks for digital, print, or packaging. This position is the key translator of the project into the vision, objectives, activities, tasks and outcomes. The Creative Services Project Manager should possess excellent relationship building skills and have the ability to think both strategically and creatively.

Responsibilities

  • Manages and oversees multiple projects simultaneously, working directly with project requestors and the creative team to ensure projects are delivered on time and on brand.
  • Creates, supports, and communicates detailed end-to-end project plans and schedules.
  • Develops and manages project scope of work by setting effective expectations, managing changes, escalating issues and proactively seeking resolutions.
  • Communicates project dependencies, issues, and action items to keep timelines running efficiently.
  • Thinks critically, balances multiple tasks, and can articulate trade-offs for competing priorities.
  • Collaborates with managers to expertly align key team members and resources to consolidate work steams and drive efficiency.
  • Advise and coach team members on standard project processes, standards, and policies.
  • Analyzes project success and challenges upon project completion and provides formal written project evaluation.
  • Ensures quality control and traffics final deliverables.
  • Exhibits effective leadership through communication and relationship management.
  • Serves as a liaison between creative services and other departments to ensure smooth work flow and project communication.
  • Establishes trust by establishing credibility, solving problems, and achieving objectives.
  • Facilitates key meetings, owns agenda creation and distributes meeting notes, feedback, and follow ups.
  • Facilitates clear and consistent communication.
  • Develops the creative brief by working with internal and external parties to determine project scope and deliverables.
  • Ensures project alignment to scope and marketing strategy prior to starting creative work.
  • Ensures that team members understand their responsibilities and expectations allowing the team members to be focused, connected, and clear on deliverables.
  • Promotes positive team chemistry.
  • Recommends administrative processes, standardizations, and best practices.
  • Develops and implements process to drive continuous improvement.
  • Utilizes reporting and analytics to use data to make recommendations.
  • Trains applicable team members in the current project management software providing them with the tools they need to use the program successfully.
  • Processes final approved invoices for payment.

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

ŸBachelor’s degree or equivalent in business or project management.
Ÿ

Requires 4+ years of project management experience or resource leadership working with creative and marketing teams.
Ÿ

Preferred retail and/or agency experience.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:

ŸProject management methodologies and tools.

ŸStrong working knowledge of MS Office programs, Adobe Creative Suite, Wrike, MS Project, Jira, Workfront and/or similar project software applications.

ŸFamiliarity with creative processes.
Ÿ

Technical knowledge in print production and design terminology.

CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED

PMP certification preferred.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS –
Employees may occasionally experience the following physical demands for extended periods of time:

  • Sitting; frequent sedentary work.
  • Viewing computer monitor;
  • Keyboarding; use of fingers to make small movements such as typing and mouse usage.


WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in a normal business office environment. Occasional travel to store locations.
