Minimum Qualifications
1. A Masters Degree in Art or Science with a specialization in Hospital Administration, Health Care Administration, Administrative Medicine or in Public Health when conferred for a program in hospital administration from an approved college or university; and,
2. Four years of administrative experience and background at responsible management and administrative levels; or,
3. An equivalent combination of training, educational background and experience in related fields and educational disciplines; and,
4. Knowledge of fundamentals of hospital organization, administration and standards, regulations and laws applicable to hospital operations. Knowledge of principles of business and personnel administration, management functions and support service functions and ability to direct and supervise personnel.
Responsibilities
The Associate Director will directly support analytical focus trends regarding Managed Care & Referral Office efforts and techical review of biling files to support all aspects of the facility electronic billing activities including request that are filtered through the CFO’s office in the Senior Associate Directos adsebce adn various other ambulatory managers request to support front-end patient management financial operation functions as necessary.
The Associate Director of the Managed Care Office & Referral Office functions includes, but not limited to the following:
- Ensure Managed Care is operational throughout the facility
- Act as liaison between health plans, patients and staff.
- Coordinate activities to maximize managed care enrollment.
- Participate in member retention activities to minimize dis-enrollments.
- Provides administrative supervision of health plan marketing representatives.
- Responsible for credentialing all providers that meet health plans criteria.
- Monitor denied outpatient claims due to “provider not eligible”.
- Develop and implment managed care educational material for all support staff.
