HHS Hospitality Services:
The Vice President of Operations will oversee HHS Resorts & Hospitality Division services at multiple sites. This executive will be a high energy leader that can drive operational excellence supporting a rapidly growing Division. He/she will need to be a passionate innovator and builder, responsible for leading the overall operations of the multiple sites by maintaining cost and quality standards, maximizing profits, developing and retaining employees and exceeding customer expectations. This position works hand in hand with the other corporate operational support teams and regional resources to further drive the success of each individual unit.
This position:
- Supports the development and deployment of corporate initiatives to ensure the proper on-boarding & integration, certification and other required learning programs at all levels in the Hospitality Division.
- Responsible for evaluating performance of his/her direct reports and providing on-going feedback and professional development plans for future growth.
- Ensures that the unit complies at all times with all HHS Resorts & Hospitality Division policy and procedures, with all governmental laws and the specific clauses of the HHS contract.
- Constantly promotes and foster positive relationships between HHS Resorts & Hospitality Division and the Hotel administration or management teams.
The Vice President of Operations will report will report directly to the President and dotted line to the Vice President of Learning & Talent Development.
Desired Qualifications
- Min 7-year experience as a Director of Housekeeping, General Manager of small limited service or full-service branded hotel.
- College Degree Preferred but extensive industry experience is accepted substitute.
- Ability to read/interpret P&L reports and create annual budget as required
- Demonstrated ability to read/understand/create action items surrounding monthly financials required
- Extensive leadership skills and demonstrated success in managing a department/hotel is highly desired
- Able to analyze the daily operations of the business units to determine more productive and cost-effective ways of providing services at the contracted and established quality levels
- Demonstrated knowledge of financial results of the business units, prepares supporting commentaries and submits the necessary reports to the President of the Hospitality Division
- High level of communication skills across varied levels of employees a plus.
- Sales/Revenue Management experience is highly desired
- Reviews Directorâs performance at least twice a year
- Knowledge of labor hours, manpower reports and controls, quality standards, productivity and overall legal issues pertaining the different sites
- Able to multi-task and manage the direct reports and sites remotely
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels (corporate, customers, team members)
- Able to travel 80% of the time (both air and ground)
- Must be willing to adhere to HHS Resorts & Hospitality Division grooming standards and ensure full compliance at all times from the team members
- Must have exceptional organizational, managerial and coaching skills
- Able to foster a very professional, fun and engaging work environment as well as highly efficient operations
