JOB PURPOSE/ROLE

As a VP of Product Management you will lead product success with TrustMAPP platform and TrustMAPP customers. Lead the design of new product features and feature requirements, identifying potential new products or product features through customer interaction; conducting market research; conducting testing and analysis on new design features, generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies.


Responsibilities:

  • Becomes the resident knowledge expert of the software Product and mentors others on key features and capabilities within the software
  • Determines customers’ needs and desires by specifying the research needed to obtain market information.
  • Recommends the nature and scope of present and future product lines by reviewing product specifications and requirements; appraising new product ideas and/or product or packaging changes.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the company’s product to competitors’ products.
  • Provides source data for product line communications by defining product marketing communication objectives.
  • Obtains product market share by working with sales director to develop product sales strategies.
  • Assesses product market data by calling on customers with field salespeople and evaluating sales call results.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses; answering questions and requests.
  • Develops customer onboarding and training programs for customer success and continual engagement by the customer with the software.
  • Brings new products to market by analyzing proposed product requirements and product development programs; preparing return-on-investment analyses; establishing time schedules with engineering and manufacturing.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and production.
  • Conducts some feature validation based on proposed feature sets prior to production
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
  • Maintains product management staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains product management staff job results by counseling and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience in related field
  • 8+ years information technology, information security or privacy experience preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of direct product management experience
  • 3+ years experience interacting with customers and external stakeholders
  • Industry framework expertise highly desirable (NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, ISO27001/2, CIS Top 20)
  • Proven reporting and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated ability to apply systems knowledge to solve business issues.
  • Knowledge of process re-engineering and change management is preferred.
  • Market research and analysis as it relates to cyber security and industry trends
  • Able to work independently and excel in a collaborative environment.
  • Self-starter and ability to drive milestones across remote workforce
  • Excellent customer service skills including timely and well thought-out problem resolution
  • Strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all levels of employees and management with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with both a technical audience and business users
  • Ability to prioritize and work on multiple requests
  • Ability to work in a diverse, fast paced environment and effectively collaborate across teams
  • Ability to understand and apply business concepts as they relate to security
  • Performing business development activities and providing prompt and comprehensive support to personnel in the field
  • Traveling to clients facilities to assist them as required
  • Ability to respond promptly outside of normal business hours to client calls or to provide personnel support as needed
  • Ability to work overtime and a flexible schedule as needed
