Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ.

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Serve as lead developer on the Firm’s Client Communications Platform, which is part of the Private Wealth Management (PWM) Technology team. Gather technical & functional requirements for platform from stakeholders. Design platform components & participate in review with Managers & Technical Architect. Develop project plan for software components. Act as a hands-on developer to write, test and deploy software. Responsible for automated testing of software components. Follow Agile Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) methodology to deliver software. Propose new ideas, apply analytical and problem solving skills and utilize software development best practices with a commitment to quality. Work with the latest technologies, including REST Webservices, Spring, Kafka & Mongo DB (NoSQl) to build complex large scale distributed platform. Work directly with various stakeholders, including Technical Architects and business sponsors to develop innovative solutions for the PWM platform. Must be willing to work with proprietary tools and technologies, but no prior knowledge required.

Job Requirements: Bachelor’s degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related computer/software development field. Eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or related position gathering requirements and designing software components. Prior work experience must include: Eight (8) years of experience communicating with management, peers and junior team members, including translating technical terminology to ensure that non-technical professionals understand software design, goals and limits. Five (5) years of experience in Java & Webservices. Three (3) years of experience in RDMS and software design. Two (2) years of experience in gathering requirements and automated testing. One (1) year of experience in Mongo DB (No SQL).
