We are a baby/child product company looking for an excited, driven, and self-motivated Web Designer with experience in Shopify to manage the user interface of our website, both desktop and mobile. We are looking for a candidate who can see our vision and implement the functionality needed. You should have experience creating and maintaining functional, attractive websites.
Responsibilities & Duties:
· You will primarily be responsible for the website and managing all aspects of Shopify, including: information pages, collections, apps, discount codes, theme, coding, navigation, user interface, functionality, features, and more. Loading new products will not fall within your responsibilities at this time.
· Manage our desktop site, mobile site, retail site, and wholesale site.
· Updating our current Shopify theme to a new theme. This will require carrying over custom code currently being used, determining which features are necessary, and ensuring a smooth transition.
· Understand our website vision while creating a plan to finish and publish necessary content pages, including company information, product information, FAQ’s, and more.
· Keeping proactive with web design changes and updates to keep our website current with trends and new user features.
· Determine the best format, features, information, and navigation to keep a positive customer experience.
· Implement and operate functional product pages to showcase and educate customers with easy to understand information.
· Manage technical aspects of the website, including the creative vision, technical issues, and logistics.
· Support the marketing team with discount codes, landing pages, and more.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Must be highly proficient with Shopify.
· Must have basic to medium HTML/CSS coding proficiency.
· Excellent organizational skills.
· Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
· Interact with respect, kindness, and professionalism towards teammates.
· Schedule your time effectively to manage multiple projects while meeting your completion dates.
· Ability to manage priorities.
· Able to multi-task, problem solve, and think ahead.
· Able to lead projects independently while working with and reporting to fellow project visionaries.
· Ability to communicate to the photo/design/copy-writing departments with any content needed.
· Attention to detail is important.
· Must be open to team feedback.
· Must be professional while composing emails, including proper grammar.
· Ability to write rough copy to submit to the copy department is an advantage.
· Must work in-office, local applicants only.
Support Provided:
We have in-house graphic designers, marketing team, copy-writers, SEO experts, and photographers available for your needs. You will be responsible to professionally organize any needs coming from these departments with a timely manor. While we require proficiency in HTML/CSS, we have the ability to outsource major custom coding projects. You will be responsible to manage these out-sourced projects with a timely manor. We currently have a teammate loading new products and sorting/organizing products within collections, so that will not fall in your responsibilities at this time. We are a Mac-based company who utilize applications such as Slack and Asana.
The Atmosphere, Hours, & Location:
We are located in Phoenix, near Priest and Washington. Hours are flexible but this is an in-house position; no remote working. We are a relaxed atmosphere that will require self-driven applicants to manage their time. 30-40 hours per week.
