We are hiring a Senior Leader to serve as the Strategic Partnership Manager of a horizontal capability serving all of Verizon’s and its customers internal and external location technology needs. This exceptional individual will lead a team of talented individuals who will provide superior customer success, custom solutions and drive partner development strategy for Product. This leader will define our engagement model, track and forecast success and lead our voice with all customer engagements with Verizon and with its customer.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify key stakeholders and groups within Verizon, their end customers and build an engagement model to determine their location technology needs.
  • Develop an engagement strategy, create detailed long-term account plans and associated materials to successfully onboard customers to our new Location Platform and engage with our innovation capabilities.
  • Develop and lead a high functioning team of Customer Success Managers and Solution Architects that foster exceptional partnerships within Verizon.
  • Identify our internal Verizon partner needs and evangelize the value and importance of Location Technology to the future of 5G and MEC at Verizon.
  • Provide excellent communication strategies that clearly articulate our value proposition with VP and SVP level leaders within Verizon and at Verizon business customers.
  • Create success metrics and jointly define the value VLT brings with our internal Verizon partners and teams.
  • Partner with VLT Product and Business Operations/PMO teams to ensure engagement and SOWs are executed for each engagement and exchange of services.
  • Create a pipeline / forecast of customers and their needs to aid Product in defining product requirements and delivery of new services.
  • Manage relationships with Verizon’s business customers and strategic partners that need Location Technology capabilities by ensuring clear and open communication, developing trust, gathering requirements and managing expectations. Drive team to be seen as trusted Location SMEs and partners across Verizon.
  • Support Product organization by identifying and defining requirements for commercialization models and opportunity with internal partners and external customers.
  • Create rigor and process for how we engage in custom solutions with Verizon customers.
  • Driving thought leadership to Verizon stakeholders and develop new, fresh ideas VLT can support Verizon in moving its strategy forward.
  • Keep abreast of market dynamics where our products sit, understand players and seek opportunities to enhance our product offering by identifying strategic partner opportunities.


What we’re looking for…

You’ll need to have

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
  • Six or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Five or more years of experience in large/strategic account management (preferably in the Telco industry).
  • Ten or more years of combined experience managing teams which perform partner management, account management, and/or a related role.
  • Five or more years of experience driving strategy development or a similar role.
  • Experience developing employees and leading high-performing teams.
  • Willingness to travel.

Even better if you have

  • MBA or Master’s Degree in applicable field.
  • Knowledge of emerging technologies (e.g., geospatial, location, drone/aviation, AI/ML, AR/VR, blockchain, robotics, IoT).
  • Experience working with teams, both internal and external, that are outside of immediate area of responsibility.
  • Demonstrated capability in extrapolating business strategies, market sizing, and risk analysis with some guidance from management.
  • Knowledge of location, data and geospatial platforms, technologies and innovations, marketing approaches, pricing strategies, and business models.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills with ability to articulate company vision to internal teams and at times to strategic partners.
  • Ability to identify internal capabilities/assets and work with internal teams to create new business models addressing changing dynamics in the industry.
  • The ability to effectively partner with team members, peers, and leadership to a common action.
  • High-quality presentation and communication skills and the ability to communicate ideas effectively, at all levels of management, throughout the organization.
  • The ability to drive results forward in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment.
  • Demonstrated capabilities in extrapolating business strategies, market sizing, and risk analysis.
