Project Manager

An onsite position based at our client’s headquarters in Arlington, Virginia, the Project Manager serves as the primary in-house contact for their brand teams and other regional offices. This role will be a liaison for OneSpace, driving tactical support and service execution to our Swansea-based Account Manager and Account Director. Making the client’s daily needs your top responsibility, this role assists in maintaining and expanding those relationships while driving the ongoing attainment of positive outcomes for OneSpace’s strategic clients. The primary responsibility is to become the “trusted advisor” to the client, to make them successful with the products they have purchased, and to ensure they are realizing value from their investment in order to preserve and expand OneSpace’s future revenue. You will build strong partnerships, and drive adoption of our products/solutions. A significant part of your role will be to serve as a client advocate, often functioning as an intermediary between our customer where you’ll be located and all OneSpace-headquartered teams (e.g. Sales, Technical Support, Product Development, etc.). You will ensure that needs and/or requirements considered critical to the success of the client and their various teams (e.g. legal, brand, marketing, etc.) are communicated and managed throughout OneSpace.


In this role you will:

  • Carry out instructions from the Account Manager and offer your insights from your position at the client site
  • Become knowledgeable of OneSpace process and procedure in order to assist your Account Manager with collaborating cross-functionally to shepherd client contacts through the onboarding with us and our platforms
  • Along with your assigned Account Manager, serve as a digital strategy consultant to the client, including: Staying abreast of digital and content marketing best practices and applying this knowledge to assist your client in meeting their marketing and content strategy goals
  • Manage client interactions in a manner that establishes credibility and trust as a business advisor while ensuring the appropriate chain of command within the Account Team
  • Execute growth plans to expand consumption of existing offerings and demand for new offerings
  • Identify opportunities within the client’s e-commerce marketing and/or content strategy that can be improved via incremental investments in OneSpace products and services and share those with the Account Manager
  • In collaboration with the assigned Account Manager and Account Director (both based in Swansea, Illinois), help drive all aspects of the sales cycle including: Proposals, scoping, pricing, contract negotiations, renewals related to all upsell opportunities, etc.
  • Assist in running regular status calls and meetings with the client and OneSpace’s internal teams
  • Work closely with creative and digital resources at OneSpace to ensure work is executed correctly and on time
  • Manage the core components of client projects, including:
    • Working with the Account Director and Account Manager to understand client needs
    • Designing and creating project plans within our proprietary software
    • Identifying areas for improvement on projects and proposing appropriate solutions
  • Coordinate multiple projects at once, keeping track of all deadlines, deliverables, and associated tasks
  • Collaborate with the project team to determine internal costs and scope of project plans
  • Ensure that project issues are dealt with in an efficient manner, informing the project team of any problems that may arise
  • Be proactive about solving problems even if it’s outside of your area and be ready to take on additional initiatives and responsibilities as they emerge
  • Actively look for ways to improve rollout procedures and to streamline the exchange of information between the client and OneSpace team members
  • Travel as needed, including for initial training onsite at the OneSpace headquarters in Swansea, Illinois, as well as to regional client offices

Requirements


To win in this role you need:

  • 3+ years project or account management experience, ideally with and/or serving large enterprise-level clients; background in the CPG, foodservice and/or e-commerce space a plus
  • Familiarity with promoting digital or content marketing products/services to marketing departments in established accounts
  • Ability to communicate and present results in a clear and user-friendly way, including presentations and reports
  • Relentless attention to detail and organization; we provide large, complex solutions with many moving parts, and must inspire confidence in our clients by making sure every detail is accounted for, documented and under control
  • Strong relationship and client management skills
  • Motivation and drive; your ability to wake up every morning fired up about how to help our client work smarter will be crucial to their success as well as ours and yours
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt quickly
  • Strong critical thinking skills used to suggest the best possible solutions
  • Ability to build relationships internally at OneSpace and at the client location
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance
  • Can develop an internal network of resources and support, and can learn to deploy that network in support of client needs
  • Reacts purposefully to frustrations and issues from the client and maintains a positive demeanor when faced with constructive feedback and criticisms
  • Ability to prioritize issues and communicate effectively to the appropriate parties
  • Experience in a tech environment or startup a plus; experience working remotely a plus
