Job Title: Operations Project Manager

Corporate Title: Vice President

Location: Santa Ana, California

Overview

This Vice President / Operations Project Manager is responsible of the operational support and management of current and future-state processes within Document Custody Operations. The Document Custody Operations team (450+ staff over multiple shifts) processes over 45,000 document related transactions daily. This includes new loan reviews, trailing document reviews, file shipping, imaging and other document related processes for over 100 clients.

Your Role

What You’ll Do:

  • Collaborating and drive change with Run the Bank business owners (Front Office and Operations), Legal and Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and the relevant Deutsche Bank technology delivery programs
  • Providing stakeholders with clear status updates to assist the delivery of timely, accurate and compliant business requirement documentation
  • Participating in the design and conceptualization of new business solutions and articulate the identified impacts and risks
  • Managing regulatory projects ensuring requirements and deliverables are met in a timely manner, ensuring full traceability, focusing on benefits in conjunction with costs and broader incentives for Operations
  • Managing and coordinating delivery of the regulatory projects, providing status reports to program stakeholders and escalating where appropriate, being cognizant of industry change that could impact operation’s function, liaise with internal points of contact for Industry and Regulatory events
  • Promoting continuous improvement and driving group strategy across a number of initiatives, minimizing risks, mitigating issues and escalating where appropriate, being commercial and identify opportunities to reduce costs for the function

Skills You’ll Need:

  • Work experience in an Operational environment with a good understanding of products, front-to-back processes
  • Experience in delivering and or coordinating small to medium programs
  • Experience managing onshore and offshore staff, ensuring team cohesion and stability
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with keen attention to detail, strong communication and presentation skills both oral and written
  • Ability to manage and prioritize numerous tasks concurrently and ensure timely delivery of urgent requests

Skills That Will Help You Excel:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance or Business preferred)
  • An excellent, confident communicator both internally and with clients (written, verbal and in person)
  • Able to operate calmly and efficiently in a high volume, intense atmosphere that maintains a very low margin of error
