Job Summary

You will be responsible for the day to day leadership of sales representatives that work over the phone with members daily to meet their financial needs. We need you to monitor performance of staff members and provide feedback, mentoring, and training to improve results. You will collaborate with managers to design business plans, determine staffing levels, and make budgeting and departmental decisions to meet operational goals.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a high-performing team; select, develop, coach, reward, and recognize team members.
  • Collaborates in designing and implementing the business plan including goals and sales targets.
  • Support, train, coach, drive results, and provide accountability to a team of insurance and securities licensed phone-based representatives who have direct telephone contact with customers across all product lines including insurance, investments, and brokerage.
  • Analyzes results and creates tracking reports for weekly and monthly review of performance with key stakeholders and representatives.
  • Leads the function and allocates resources to ensure that unit and departmental objectives are met.
  • Supports the development and implementation of business and marketing strategies within the team.
  • Identifies and leads continuous improvement, divisional and departmental projects to implement new capabilities and ease of doing business.


Required Job Qualifications

  • College degree in business, management or related business field or equivalent experience.
  • Advanced Designation (ChFC, CFP®, or CLU) is desired.
  • Demonstrated experience (5+ years) managing in the financial services industry preferred.
  • Life and health state insurance licenses required.
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 required or obtained within 90 days of hire/transfer.
  • Previous experience in financial planning, investment products, and insurance products preferred.
