Position Overview
The IT Business Unit Support – Project Manager is the primary integration point for Cybersecurity & IT Compliance. Reporting to the Director of the Cybersecurity & IT Compliance, the BUS-PM is a key consultant to senior management and serves as an executive and department support role and incorporates a holistic view of the organization to facilitate alignment across IT, increase executive and operational efficiency, and manage department operational functions.

As an IT Business Unit Support – Project Manager, you will draw upon in-depth knowledge of IT and department processes and operations to efficiently and strategically execute assignments, activities and events. These will include oversight of the Director’s office, managing department process and process improvement initiatives, leading or participating on projects supporting the CIO office and Cybersecurity & IT Compliance teams, and interacting with corporate officers, directors and senior managers across IT and other Operating Units on behalf of the Director. Day-to-day assignments will vary and could consist of participation on IT and department cross-functional teams, managing and coordinating events on behalf of the CIO and the Cybersecurity & IT Compliance Director. Other activities will include coordinating with the department management to manage routine operations deliverables to closure a timely manner and performing assessments to identify operational impacts and mitigations to changes in department direction/goals.

Typical Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary integration point for Cybersecurity & IT Compliance with other Business Unit Support PMs and participate in the IT BUS-PM network.
  • Recommend, interpret, and/or implement organization and internal business operations policies and procedures.
  • Oversee business support functions including human resource planning, space/facilities planning, training, organizational safety, information and/or technology management or vendor management.
  • Responsible for budget oversight, project scheduling, statistical/operational reporting, and/or back office support functions.
  • Serve as a key member of an IT executive’s staff in providing indirect and matrix leadership of staff, conducting projects and activities including operations, budgeting, people programs, planning, and maintain efficient flow of information to and from the executive’s office.
  • Conduct research of strategic impact to the business, prepares presentations, communications, and speeches and/or develops position papers on behalf of the executive. Collaborate with the department administrative assistant network to plan, schedule, and prepare agendas for department-level staff meetings/events.
  • Manage the evaluation, development, and implementation of multiple projects that have major financial or operational impact to the Organizational Unit or Company or impact their objectives.
  • Contribute to the development of strategic plans, business plans, objectives, and initiatives for the organization.
  • Follow up on executive action items to ensure successful and timely completion.
  • Responsible for department goal calibration facilitation.
  • Perform evaluation on issues that have a major impact on the department, other departments, IT and the Company.
  • Act as a key consultant to senior management.
  • May act as the executive’s representative to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Seven (7) years’ of program/project support or key business initiatives experience.
  • Two (2) years’ of experience in an organizational unit support role involving back-office support coordination, human resources planning, payroll, budgeting, training, space/facilities planning, information management and/or vendor management.


Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Broad knowledge of Company, IT and department policies, objectives, strategies, goals, and Cybersecurity & IT Compliance processes.
  • Strong presentation, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with high level of initiative and ability to effectively interface, collaborate, and partner with executives, senior management, clients and team members to help drive solutions and ensure stakeholder buy-in.
  • Demonstrate sound leadership skills to set priorities, achieve desired actions and outcomes through facilitation, collaboration, negotiation and influence.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
  • Demonstrated experience initiating and executing improvement strategies for increased efficiency.
