Responsibilities:
Responsible for the overall management of a specific clinical unit(s). This includes administration of independent related to the provision of 24 hour patient care as identified by nursing care standards and hospital policy and procedure within the constraints of budget, legislation and regulation. Other duties as assigned.

Summary:
Three to five years clinical nursing experience is required.
Three to five years clinical nursing experience is required.
Three to five years experience in a leadership role is preferred.
Knowledge of nursing theory, practice and management to oversee planning and implementation of patient care within a patient care area(s), and prepare reports, analyses, policies and budgets at a level normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor’s Degree from an approved School of Nursing.

Masters Degree is preferred.
Requires current state of Wisconsin Registered Nurse License or Multi-state Nursing License from a participating state in the NLC (Nurse Licensure Compact).

Demonstrates effective communication skills and promotes open communication on all levels. Analytical abilities necessary in order to evaluate nursing care delivery, respond to deficiencies by identifying and implementing appropriate corrective action, develop and implement sound policies, procedures and budgets. Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail for up to 80% of work time when involved in activities such as preparing documentation, reports and budgets, interacting with staff and patients, and responding to correspondence.
