SUMMARY:
The HR Manager will maintain and enhance the organization’s human resources department by evaluation and improving employee relations, programs and practices. If you enjoy a challenging career and have HR experience, we want to hear from you.
- Maintains organization staff by recruiting, testing, and interviewing candidates; counseling managers on candidate selections; recommending changes
- Maintains and manages the organization’s employee files, payroll duties and processing, disbursing the Employee Handbook, assisting employees with HR related issues in a fair and consistent manner
- Assist with developing and implementing HR policies which support the organizational and business goals of the company
- Ensures legal compliance with all applicable Hawaii state and federal employment laws, including posting requirements
- Updates and revises employee handbook as necessary at the direction of the supervisor
- Assist in training of employees in conjunction with department managers in support of the corporate strategic goals
- Works closely with management and staff to build morale and improve working relationships
- Handles reporting and record keeping for worker’s compensation, unemployment compensation, and disability claims, gather data for hearings as needed, and work with insurance carriers toward resolution of all claims
- Assist accounting with 401K program and assist employees with all their 401K questions and needs
- HR experience is preferred
