About the Position
This position is responsible for day to day management of the Compliance Department which includes managing the compliance monitoring program and maintaining awareness of legal and regulatory developments. This individual will be responsible for coordinating the review of and updating of compliance department risk assessments, trainings, policies and procedures at least annually and preparing reports for the regulators and management. Additionally, this includes facilitating the management self-testing program, and providing business inputs and reviewing outputs of the Compliance monitoring program.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote and protect Global Primex’s reputation for ethics, integrity, and honesty
- Implement and manage an effective compliance program
- Develop and review company policies
- Familiar with all phases of development and implementation of an effective compliance program
- Assess company processes to determine compliance risk
- Critical thinking and attention to detail needed to evaluate business activities
- Provides audit information including reports to management by researching and analyzing data including potentially from on-site research at company and affiliate locations world-wide
- Review marketing materials, advertising, disclosures, notices, compliance related regulatory reports and forms for compliance with rules and regulations.
- Prepares compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information
- Supports departments by collecting and coordinating internal compliance data with auditors and various departments
- Assist in licensing-related issues
- Assist on customer due diligence and review due diligence documents
- Manage Compliance Training program
Employee Qualifications/Specifications:
- A bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of industry legal requirements and controls
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply judgment to provide efficient and effective solutions, and to analyze all collected data to garner useful results
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact with various departments to successfully collect needed information
- Extensive familiarity with payment instrument terminology
- Knowledge of FINTECH and payment ecosystem and card schemes
- Proactive approach to getting things done
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Detail orientated, confident and concise
- Ability to Travel 10%-15%
The perfect candidate would also
- Exhibit excellent time management skills
- Have previous experience in a similar role within a FINTECH company/startup
- Additional compliance certifications would be preferred
