Summary: The primary responsibility for this role will be to design, develop and manage talent development programs including a management development rotational training program for college graduates as well as internal key talent programs as a critical component of Great Wolf’s Talent Management strategy. A quick ramp up is essential – the successful candidate must quickly develop an understanding of Great Wolf processes and establish close and supportive working relationships – not only with HR teams and departmental stakeholders and pack members, but external subject matter experts as well.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the university recruitment process in coordination with lodge resources for the Management Development Program
- Own the process for the internal Key Talent Program including selection, program design and program execution
- Design and develop cross functional programs in collaboration with senior business line leaders
- Plan and provide coordination of program learning activities including learning summits, virtual meetings, cross-functional participant projects and web based/virtual coursework
- Plan, facilitate, and coordinate cross-functionalcollaboration and external engagement as needed – to include milestones, timelines, and program tracking
- Identify meaningful/relevant project assignments and schedule/coordinate rotations including coordination of all relocation for program participants
- Effectively leverage classroom, virtual, E-Learning and simulation/case study options to create an engaging participant experience
- Facilitate panel discussions with senior executives and for training experiences when necessary
- Drive the performance management and succession planning processes for program participants
- Monitor and report to senior executives on both participant progress and program effectiveness
- Continually evolve program design and content to support business changes
- Partnerwith HR team members to coordinate resources needed to execute and deliver program and participant objectives
- Leverage communications channels across functionsand foster HR and other functional staff engagement in cross-functional project areas
- Drive the development and execution of a comprehensive communications plan for talent development programs
- Assist with new lodge opening talent initiatives including staffing and training plans and execution
- Support other talent programs as needed in the areas of talent acquisition, succession, performance, learning, talent development and HR systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Adult Education or related discipline from an accredited university
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Human Resources
- Minimum 2 year relevant experience implementing and coordinating new initiatives, HR projects or programs
- Demonstrated instructional design and facilitation skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively withclients and business partners, peers and leaders, including individuals in leadership positions
- Demonstrated abilityto move projects forward to completion
- Demonstrated office and project organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written (including editing and preparing reports), oral, and presentation skills
- Proficiency with MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
- APTD or CPLP Certification
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Adult Learning, Instructional Design or related discipline
- HR Generalist/Business Partner experience
- Talent Acquisition experience
- Experience implementing or managing talent development programs
