About The Role ::

Lesbians Who Tech & Allies is looking for a Director of Operations. The associate will work closely with the VP of Operations and Programs to execute all programmatic efforts and help to lead all global events.

Location ::

  • Remote, desirable locations include San Francisco, Seattle, Austin, Atlanta, Chicago, Washington, D.C.
  • Salary + Benefits (see info below) :: $85,000 – $130,000 (*location and level of experience dependent)

What You’ll Do ::

Program Management ::

  • Provide programmatic support to all LWT programs including; Summits (US + International), Edie Windsor Coding Scholarship, Bring a Lesbian to Work Day, Leadership program, City Advisory Team programs Events ::
  • Member of Summit Leadership team driving every aspect of event production logistics and execution including;Venue and Vendor negotiations, Food and Beverage management, Production Staff + Labor, Branding, Volunteers, AV and other production aspects as necessary
  • Maintain event project management schedules and task lists to ensure all deadlines are met. Provide co-workers with consistent and ongoing progress reports for each event
  • Responsible for post-event reconciliation including financials, receipts, vendor invoices, and other associated documentation related to production
  • Manage inventory for all summits + partner/city events Operations ::
  • Partnering with VP of Operations, help to lead recruiting, hiring, onboarding, HR, payroll + finance and employee retention programs
  • Leading City Chapters Advisors :: Define Target City Chapters and Chapter Leaders, lead, oversee, execute on city-based events. Provide brand consistency and drive city engagement to summits Edie Windsor Coding Scholarship ::
  • Oversee annual Scholarship Fund for LGBTQ women, non-binary and trans tecchies to kickstart their career in technology
  • Build and maintain coding school and bootcamp partnerships
  • Promote scholarship applications and deadlines, manage applicant pipeline, approve scholars and oversee progress of scholars from acceptance to program completion
  • Connect and interact with Edie alumni

What You Have ::

  • A commitment to diversity and economic opportunity for all, with 3-5 years of professional experience in project + program management, events, and human resources / talent acquisition
  • High attention to detail with strong ability to take ideas and overviews and turn them into actionable plans and deliverables
  • Experience working in a fast paced, high performance culture where the business and goals are constantly evolving
  • Strong programmatic and managerial skills will provide leadership and strategy for maintaining the goals of our programs
  • Strong listening skills and the desire to achieve goals of our programs. shared success
  • Previous experience in tech, start-ups, events, or campaign work a plus
  • Demonstrated subject matter expertise in at least 1 or more functional areas of HR (e.g. Recruitment, Diversity & Inclusion program management, employee engagement and community building, etc.) is preferred
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to make sound decisions independently

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $85,000.00 to $130,000.00 /year

Experience:
