Overview
Global Infrastructure Support Team is a 24×5 [follow the sun] global team with On-Call support after office hours. The Windows System Administrator ensures within this group that IT services are robust, controlled and delivered effectively and efficiently. This includes monitoring services, preventing and resolving service failures, fixing problems as well as carrying out operational tasks. The Windows System Administrator works through service related requests in accordance with existing service catalogue components. They will manage access requests to enable, revoke or modify privileges based on proper policy standards or direction from CISO.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide business customer service through reactive daily Windows Active Directory Support, implementation of new server-based solutions, and various internal initiatives
- Review current monitoring and reporting systems and make recommendations to optimize event Daily reactive support for Windows Active Directory globally via hotline and ticketing systems. Perform triage, initial troubleshooting, and escalation
- Provide 2nd and 3rd level support to Wintel Server Support, application support teams managing server-based applications including training
- Develop and maintain procedures & policies around all aspects of Active Directory support & implementation, including evaluation of existing practices, documentation, and training
- Responsible for installation, configuration and updates of systems related software, firmware, operating systems patches and upgrades
Skills You’ll Need:
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Microsoft Windows Server 2008/2012, and 2016
- Expert knowledge of server concepts & architectures
- Excellent knowledge of HP Proliant servers
- Builds positive working relationships and works collaboratively with other team members
- Experience in a large corporate environment
Skills That Will Help You Excel:
- Experience with VMware
- Experience with IIS, MDAC and/or .NET
- Experience in the financial services industry
- Experience with SAN-connected servers (EMC & Hitachi)
- Experience with firewalled environments
