We are looking to hire a VP of Marketing to create, develop, and implement our various marketing initiatives and branding efforts to achieve our long- and short-term organizational goals. Based in San Leandro, California and reporting directly to the SVP Sales, Marketing and Business Development, the VP of Marketing will be responsible for the strategic planning and tactical execution of the company’s marketing initiatives that support both our overall branding and revenue goals.
The ideal candidate should have a strong track record of crafting and leading marketing strategy in a dynamic environment with significant expertise building brand awareness and being a thought leader with the ability to execute scalable strategies that drive impactful results.
Responsibilities
- Build and enhance recognition of OSIsoft as a brand and the PI System™ as a global leader.
- Craft messaging and positioning in the market; conduct competitive and market analysis to determine and leverage OSIsoft’s key sustainable advantage.
- Develop channel, segment and market strategies to enable targeted marketing.
- Lead customer-centric thinking and craft programs to meet identified target markets and customers.
- Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth.
- Build, further develop, and leverage relationships with industry media to promote the OSIsoft brand, mission, and position in the market.
- Work with internal stakeholders to plan, create, and launch creative campaigns and compelling story-telling around OSIsoft products and initiatives that resonate with audiences.
- Establish goals and create strategy for meeting marketing deliverables and metrics; work with marketing groups to establish team and individual goals and metrics
- Work closely with sales leadership, product management and customer success groups to enhance and align efforts.
- Set current and long-term goals for internal marketing teams.
- Plan, review and control the Marketing department’s budget.
- Build up marketing organization across all marketing functions; coordinate staffing and recruitment initiatives.
- Prioritize marketing projects and allocate resources accordingly.
- Monitoring of all marketing initiatives; enhance and change as necessary.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations on marketing metrics for the Executive Team.
- Provide guidance on organizing effective marketing events.
Requirements
- 10+ years of senior marketing experience in the software industry or a related field; general management and strategy consulting experience desirable.
- Proven work experience as a VP of Marketing or Marketing Director in a Tech company, preferably B2B.
- Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.
- Experience with CRM software and digital marketing tools and techniques.
- Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics and Google Adwords.

- Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
- MBA with a technical Bachelor’s degree (Engineering, Computer Science, etc.) preferred.
