The Vice President of Marketing Services is responsible for instilling a culture of continuous improvement (CI) and building a team that provides marketing services to the properties in alignment with the Boyd Gaming’s strategic goals and objectives. This marketing leadership role drives change management programs through effective planning, execution, and communication.
- Leads the creation of formalized processes to drive effectiveness of marketing services.
- Drives large scale strategic transformation programs across the organization.
- Serves as a Marketing thought leader and technical resource for the department, division, and/or enterprise.
- Guides and influences people, processes, and resources to support businessinterests as well as team member’s growth and development.
- Builds trusting relationships with team, property leaders, and executive leadership.
- Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge of current and evolving best practices and industry trends.
- Understands the implications of process changes on other support functions, regulatory requirements, internal controls, and people.
- Adapts to shifting priorities while maintaining focus on the broader business goals and objectives. Effectively generates continuous improvements in service levels.
- Measures the financial impact of process improvements for both efficiency and effectiveness.
- Monitors overall Key Performance Indicator’s (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and continually looks for improvement.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least ten (10) years’ experience in marketing and advertising; At least five (5)years’ experience managing Relationship Marketing (direct mail / email ).
- Experience in working with all levels of management, including consulting with key business stakeholders.
- Hotel Operations and Property Experience preferred.
- Experience in project management of multiple large and complex business projects.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- A proven and successful track record leading a team.
- Must be able to travel to other properties, including those out of state.
- Proficient in MS office products and related media software, marketing applications.
- Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
