Zions Bancorporation is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager. This Tech PM will have the opportunity to:
- Be responsible for the management, overall coordination and status reporting of technical projects.
- Develop project plans to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, adhere to high quality standards and meet customer expectations.
- Work with clients to understand and translate their needs into IT system requirements and solutions.
- Directs and monitors work efforts, identifies resource needs, performs quality reviews and escalates issues appropriately.
- Responsible for tracking costs, key project milestones and adjusting project plans and/or resources to meet the needs of customers.
- Identify resource needs, perform quality reviews, access and mitigate risk.
- Coordinates communication that may impact the scope, budget, risk and resources of project.
- Stays abreast of current and emerging information technology.
- Works closely with internal departments and outside vendors to ensure a successful project completion.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree and 2+ years experience in technology project management processes, methodologies and tools, implementing various platform environments, and Networks, Firewalls, storage, mainframe and midrange systems or other directly related experience.
- A combination of education and experience may meet requirements.
- Working knowledge of technical project management methodologies, processes, tools and implementation of various platform environments.
- Knowledge of scope management, financial tracking, scheduling and resource management.
- Solid understanding of critical IT services such as database, mainframe, servers, storage and network systems
- Experience in solution identification, assessment and creation of business and financial cases.
- Must have solid leadership, motivational, interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability negotiate successfully across organization.
- Ability to facilitate discussions, identify, analyze and resolve issues.
- Ability to meet deadlines, schedules and budgeted costs.
- Ability to work independently.
