MCIC Vermont is seeking a Sr. Director Data Analytics and Reporting based in Atlanta. The Senior Director of Data Analytics & Reporting directs and manages a team of analysts that use business data to provide insight into business performance and improving operations. The candidate will lead them to collect and analyze internal and external data sources to provide operational and performance reporting for business areas, including identifying patterns based on the data and offering analysis to the business teams based on these findings. The position will maintain an extremely involved (“hands-on”) in the development and delivery of required work.
PRIMARY TASKS/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Execute and maintain a vision and information strategies to drive significant data and analytics improvement within the organization, collaborating with the Sr. Director of Business Intelligence (Business Alignment).
- Manage a team of 4-8 report analysts – located in Atlanta and New York – assigning work, managing production schedules, direct project work, assuring quality, and maintain materials delivered over time.
- Manage the definition, development, production, and distribution of reports and analyses required by the customer, both executive and operational level detail.
- Manage the delivery of monthly reports and analysis for internal departmental customers as well as external clients.
- Analyze complex business/reporting requirements and develop solutions (as an individual contributor or leading members of the team) that allow end-users to obtain the information they require to make informed decisions, improving business performance across the organization.
- Collaborate with internal customers to ensure understanding and appropriateness of reports and data and develop the portfolio and schedule for key analytics and reporting to align with the customer’s timelines.
- Provide through the team of analysts new, on-going and ad hoc analytical support and reporting for all business functions including Finance, Claims, PSLP, Human Resources, Operations, and AMC clients.
- Perform analytics and leverage existing internal analytical tools to deliver company data and analytics in alignment with the business area Information Strategy.
- Manage the development and testing processes including experiment design, KPI selection, requirements gathering, coordination of test execution, and success measurement.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Minimum College requirements: Undergraduate degree
- Proven success in managing similar Report Unit teams and deliverables for 3+ years.
- Minimum 5-8 years of progressive experience performing and leading the execution of reporting and analytics.
- Extensive SQL and Business Objects (BO) experience for report writing.
- Understanding of data integration (ETL), data modeling, data quality, data governance.
- Specific experience with Informatica as ETL desirable.
- Specific experience with Salesforce.com report writing and troubleshooting desirable.
