Senior Project Manager – commercial flooring

The Senior Project Manager position is responsible for the management and oversight of all active commercial projects. The Senior Project Manager will oversee the management of projects through effective, communication with customers, project managers and installation crews. A proven ability for real‐time decision making and creative problem‐solving skills are a requirement for this position.

Duties include:

 Analyze and comprehend bid documents, floor plans, blueprints, architectural and ID drawings
 Verify scope of contracted projects to ensure accurate budget proposals & product buyout
 Communicate daily operational capacity, changes and issues with Leadership Team, Estimators and Sales Staff

 Interact with Architects, Contractors and End Users to assist the installation process
 Communicate with material and labor vendors to acquire product pricing and/or information about products

 Act as a team resource to elevate, train, assist, grow and problem solve with a growing project management team.

Essential Functions:

 Extensive knowledge of carpet, tile and resilient flooring products and industry standards.
 Experience in managing production/installation in the flooring industry.
 Team player who works with integrity, according to company’s core values
 Capable of maintaining patient, honest and respectful communication in dynamic situations.
 Accountable and capable of admitting mistakes and working as a team to come to a resolution.
 Ability to problem solve and seek solutions – ‘Resourceful’.
 Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 Comfortable interacting with clients and vendors in a professional, commercial setting.
 Monitor costs and complete jobs within budget
 Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs
 Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
 Proficient computer skills. Experience in Excel, Word, Outlook and RFMS Measure preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $37.00 to $43.00 /hour
