The Role You’ll Play
Veriforce is seeking a Scrum Master with experience in implementing Scrum. This person will be responsible for guiding teams in using the Scrum Framework, supporting Product Owners, and facilitating Scrum events. This person may work with internal or external teams and will work with multiple teams at a time.

You have a passion for Scrum. You are a natural servant leader who works diligently to remove impediments and guide the team towards high-performance. You have great facilitation skills and can work through conflict in a productive way that leads to resolution. You prefer to use examples and teach principles rather than simply enforcing the rules of Scrum for their own sake.
Your Core Responsibilities:
- Serve and support the Product Owner and Engineering Team in their quest to do everything possible to delight customers
- Provide all support to the team using a servant leadership style and leading by example. This person should personify Scrum and Agile principles.
- Guide the Scrum Team on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values, and on how to get the most out of self-organization, filling in the intentional gaps left in the Agile/Scrum frameworks
- Ensure a pace that is sustainable and comfortable for the team and meets organizational needs
- Remove impediments directly or guide the team on removing them
- Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgement, with an emphasis on problem solving.
- Facilitate discussion, decision making, conflict resolution and getting the work done
- Support the Product Owner, especially with respect to backlog grooming and managing the product backlog.
- Supervise work through the planning and scheduling of work, and the review and approval of tasks.
- Facilitate Scrum meetings, included Stand Ups, BackLog Grooming Sessions and Sprint Planning
You’ll Bring These Attributes to the Table:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- CSM certification preferred
- 5+ years of work experience
- Required 1+ years of Scrum Master experience and at least 2 years experience on an Agile team
