Tetra Tech AMT is looking for a Scrum Master
Tetra Tech is seeking resources for a long-term, ground-up, software development program for the Federal government. This large program (50+ people) will utilize current technologies, including Microsoft .NET, Oracle and JBoss BPMS, with Team Foundation Server/Visual Studio as its core toolset. This effort also requires a significant amount of technical documentation including technical and training manuals and materials, reports, on-line help, etc. The candidate will be embedded with technical teams developing technical products.
Primary job duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to the following:
- Facilitates Agile ceremonies for 1-2 teams
- Assists team with identifying and removing impediments and known risks through analysis and prioritization
- Effectively utilizes progress indicators such and burn-down and burn-up charts.
- Uses collaborative engagement techniques
- Fosters self-accountability
- Escalates impediments and risks when necessary
- Guides the team by providing meaningful feedback
- Participates in setting best practices
- Effectively facilitates retrospectives to ensure actionable changes for the team
- Conducts formal review with the internal product owner and stakeholders at project completion to confirm acceptance and satisfaction
The successful candidate will have:
- Bachelorâs degree Business, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering
- 5 years minimum ScrumMaster experience
- Software development background a plus
- Understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies, values, and procedures
- Experience working with both agile and waterfall methodologies on large scale, technically complex projects
- Knowledge of Scrum, SAFe, Lean, XP, and other Agile methodologies
- Experience with Team Foundation Server, JIRA
- Experience with large-scale application development
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Must be self-motivated as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems
- Data driven analysis skills for measuring and managing delivery
- Experience with Team Foundation Server
- Team player with the ability to influence and negotiate
- Ability to understand and communicate technical issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to keep team engaged and on task
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
- Excellent written skills in English
