Job Summary
Working independently, the Sr. Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of the development and implementation of assigned large and strategic projects and provides a single point of contact for those projects. Takes projects from original concept through final implementation. Defines project scope and objectives. Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports. Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis. Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables. Manages the integration of vendor tasks and tracks and reviews vendor deliverables. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team. Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems. This role is also responsible for providing project management guidance and mentoring to Project Managers and Associate Project Managers, and assistance to Analysts that perform Project Management tasks outside of the IS PMO.

This is a non-management job that will report to a supervisor, manager, director or executive.
Minimum Education
Bachelor’s Degree – Computer Science, Business Management, Healthcare Management,Project Management or related area of study.
Minimum Experience
5 years – Project Management

In lieu of the Above Minimum Requirements
In lieu of the education and experience requirements noted above, 9 years of IT Project Management experience (or a combination of Associates degree and 7 years IT Project Management experience) may be considered with at least 3 of those years in a health related environment.
Other Required Experience
Portfolio Project Management Software – Preferred
Master’s Degree – Preferred
Project Management Professional (PMP), other project management certification, proven eligiblity for PMP, or proven 32 hours of PMI approved education. – Required
Healtcare experience – Preferred
