Project Manager (IT) (full-time; five positions)

Project Manager (IT) needed in New York, NY and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. for overall project management, including project initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closing.

Responsibilities
  • Overall project management, including project initiation, planning, execution, controlling, and closing.
  • Lead project teams to facilitate requirement gathering and procurement.
  • Manage and control revenue margins for projects.
  • Plan and implement reporting requirements for projects.
  • Define service level agreements for the applications within the projects and devise plans based on the business criticality.
  • Review project plans and coordinate workload and task assignments.
  • Confer with users, clients, and vendors to assess project needs and system requirements, and to identify and resolve problems.
  • Devise strategies for effective test automation across projects to mitigate costs.
  • Recommend ideas for proof-of-concepts and prototypes for automation and improvement.
  • Monitor productivity of project team members and implement strategies to improve productivity for projects.
  • Mentor the team with respect to functional and technical aspects of project.
  • Supervise and review work done by project team members.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.
  • Ensure adherence to quality standards and review project deliverables
Requirements

Must have a Master’s Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field, plus one (1) year of IT experience. The one (1) year of IT experience must include experience using Oracle PL/SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler, Microsoft Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio. In the alternative, we will accept a Bachelor’s Degree (or foreign equiv) in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Mathematics, or related field, plus five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience. One (1) year of the five (5) years of progressive post-baccalaureate IT experience must include experience using Oracle PL/SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer, Oracle SQL Developer Data Modeler, Microsoft Visual Studio, and SQL Server Management Studio.
