Project Manager I
Under the supervision of the Director, the Project Manager, I will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing various programs and activities that support the Office of Diversity & Inclusion. The incumbent will be the liaison between internal cross-functional teams and/or external stakeholders and will be responsible for performing a wide range of administrative work of considerable difficulty.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Examples of responsibilities of this position may include, but are not limited to:
- Identify project requirements by interviewing appropriate stakeholders, analyzing operations, documenting results, preparing new/enhanced procedures.
- Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and develop recommendations for the enhancement of business operations.
- Develop project solutions by describing requirements in workflow charts and diagrams; studying CHA system(s) capabilities; analyzing alternative solutions; preparing system specifications to effectively accomplish agency-wide diversity and inclusion goals.
- Manage cross-functional teams, prepare presentations by gathering and summarizing data often using graphics and spreadsheets (SharePoint and Excel).
- Monitor budget (physical and electronic records) to store accurate documentation by reviewing invoices, reconciling payments, etc.
- Coordinate activities of CHA’s Resources groups.
- Manage translation and interpretation requests.
- Other duties, as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES
This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in the areas of Business Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration, Urban Planning, or related discipline or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of two (2) years of experience with project management and knowledge of social services, public, and government agencies. The incumbent must be self-directed, motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently on complex projects.
This position requires excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills to work with a diverse staff of managerial and professional employees to coordinate the completion of assignments and project deliverables in a fast-paced environment. High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Word) is required. Proficiency with SharePoint application platform is a plus. Bilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Polish, Chinese, Arabic, and/or Hindi) helpful.
