Northrop GrummanTechnology Services sectoris seeking an experienced Information Systems Project Manager to join our team in support of Ogden, Utah. The ideal candidate will be a passionate project manager with proven skills and experience in managing and delivering complex projects in a challenging environment. This position will require the project manager to perform advanced project management tasks from inception to close-out. The successful candidates will possess a wide range and depth of experience related to the project management discipline.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Leads and directs one or more project teams engaged in the design, implementation and modification of IT projects that span across functional organizations. Prepares project execution plan and identifies appropriate technical and business resources needed for the team. Ensures projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meets technical requirements of the assignment. Keeps current on advances in the field of IT. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.
- Applies extensive technical expertise, and has full knowledge of other related disciplines. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings
- Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity
- Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. Completed work is reviewed from a relatively long- term perspective, for desired results
- Guides the successful completion of major programs and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives
- Represents the organization as the prime technical contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations
Position may be filled at a higher level based on selected candidate’s qualifications as they relate to the Basic Qualifications.
Basic Qualifications:
Level3 (Principal):
- Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of5 years of relevant experience; or, Master’s degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. An additional 4 yearsof experience can be substituted in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
- Must be a self-starter who works quickly and effectively, can get up to speed with program processes quickly and enjoys a fast paced, dynamic environment.
- Familiarity with technical solutions, infrastructure implementations process/project documentation and liaison interfacings for large enterprise organizations.
- Skilled with managing multiple projects concurrently implementing a variety of solutions.
- Expert MS Office Suite skills (Word, Project, PowerPoint and Excel).
- Excellent knowledge of project management methodologies
- An active PMP Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire date)
- This position requires an active Top Secret clearance
- US Citizenship is required in order to maintain required Top Secret Clearance
L4: (Senior)
