ESSENTIALS ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Develop the IT Project Standards processes and templates guide, seeking contributions from Project Managers to ensure that the Standards meet best practice.
2. Organize workshops to identify areas of improvement for projects, documenting
recommendations and presenting them to the IT Department.
3. Establish and follow project management methodologies and best practices that best align to business model.
4. Develop a detailed project plan to track progress.
5. Build up a repository of project templates both technical and management to support the
Project Managers.
6. Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
7. Continue to evolve the processes and templates throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Implement project standards across all projects in the portfolio.
9. Update and administer the program plan as required using reports from Project Managers and the outcomes of project and board level meetings and workshops.
10. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
11. Prepare consolidated material from project reports for monthly review.
12. Complete and distribute monthly portfolio level reports.
13. Ensure the documentation is complete.
14. Implement Communication Plan
15. Manage the portfolio-level benefits register, ensuring that all benefits are planned, monitored and benefits realization is tracked.
16. Support implementation of the quality strategy, including any processes and templates, across all projects.
17. Implement the change control process across all projects and portfolios.
18. Ensuring pre-scope project plan is communicated to all project stakeholders together with their individual responsibilities.
19. Ensuring project plans are created and maintained, deliverables tracked against time and cost, and resource utilization is monitored
20. Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
21. Coordinating quality activities to meet quality objectives. Managing project risks, issues and change control, communicating the impact to the project.
22. Monitoring projects against time, budget and quality standards.
23. Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget.
24. Identifying the location of support to resolve technical issues, effecting the transition into
support, and formally closing off the project.
25. Conducting or contributing to post implementation reviews and identifying any lessons learned feeding carry-forward items back into the project plan.
26. Supervise and manage project managers assigned.
27. Direct or coordinate activities of project personnel.
28. Assign duties, responsibilities, and spans of authority to project personnel.
29. Perform risk assessments to develop mitigation strategies.
30. Establish, update and maintain IT policies and procedures.
31. Guides the adoption of IT policies, standards, and best practices.
TRAINING & EDUCATION
· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent work experience.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
· 7+ years of project management experience.
· 5+ years of experience working with Business Stakeholders within a Cross-Functional matrix environment.
· 5+ years of experience leading large cross-functional teams to successfully execute business objectives.
· Should be experienced in Negotiation, Vendor Management, Risk Management, and Continuous (Service) Improvement.
