Overview
Function (Scope and Main Purpose of Job)
Reporting to the Director of the IT Project Management Office, the IT Project Manager position will have the responsibility to plan, organize, and monitor multiple Casino-related IT projects to meet the defined requirements and business objectives of Cordish Gaming. This individual will act consultatively to gather requirements from business partners and determine overall project scope. Working collaboratively with other IT resources, the PM will construct detailed project plans, identify required resources to meet project goals, track progress against project baselines, oversee testing phases, and orchestrate hand-off to operations. This position will also be the primary contract administrator for IT

Specific Responsibilities and Duties
  • Knowledge of the Casino Gaming industry as it relates to business analysis, requirements gathering, and project management as well as the technical skills to accomplish the strategic initiatives is desired.
  • Assists with presentations, analysis, meetings, and ad-hoc projects.
  • Ensures the IT organization complies with established corporate policies and procedures.
  • Understands and abides by the Company’s business practices, policies, and philosophies.
  • Clarifies project scope, milestones, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Leads the development and management of the project work plan, including work sequencing, work delivery schedule, and resource responsibilities.
  • Monitors project milestones and critical dates to identify potential jeopardy of project schedule.
  • Communicates risks, needs, and status to stakeholders.
  • Have sound technical knowledge to understand the issues that are related to the technical aspects of projects.
  • Compile and track all IT related contracts using in-house systems.
Qualifications
Job Requirements (skills, knowledge, and abilities)
  • Firm understanding of Agile and Waterfall project methodologies.
  • At least 7 years of experience as a project manager.
  • Previous experience in the gaming industry is a plus.
  • Previous experience in contract administration preferred.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools especially Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business and IT leaders to organize and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written/oral communication skills.
Educational Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • PMP certification preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time and ability to perform moderate lifting of 30 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, lift and reach.
  • Ability to work long and varied hours and on shifts, weekends, holidays and special events as needed.
  • Must be able to read, speak and effectively communicate ideas in English.
  • Must be able to think analytically, have basic math skills and be able to create, read, and interpret spreadsheets.
  • Ability to make independent decisions and recommendations.
