Director of Nursing – San Francisco, CA
We are currently accepting applications for a Director of Nursing Services ( DON / DNS ) for our Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) located in San Francisco, CA. This is a very high-end community, with an outstanding reputation and excellent CMS Star ratings. The parent company believes in a Person Centered approach to care.
The Director of Nursing needs to possess the leadership ability to manage the Skilled Nursing department, while providing the best possible care and services to the residents. Key responsibilities include teaching, mentoring and developing the nursing team, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures, as well as State and Federal regulations. Must have a demonstrated history of excellent survey results, good tenure, a hospitality mindset, as well as a customer service focused approach to care. Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of CA with a current license, and have at least 3 years of experience in geriatrics as a supervisor. Previous Director of Nursing experience strongly preferred.
Job Type: Full-time
Required experience: 3 years as a supervisor or manager in a geriatric setting, as well as 2 year as a DON / DNS in a Long Term Care or Skilled Nursing setting strongly preferred.
Required education, license or certification: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred; Registered Nurse for the State of CA required.
