Data Management and Migration Project Manager

Key Role:

Support the Office of Technical Integration within the Department of Veterans’ Affairs (VA) Electronic Health Record Modernization (EHRM) as a data management and migration project manager. Coordinate and facilitate data management and migration efforts across multiple organizations. Create reports and brief senior leaders on the status of data management strategy, planning, and data migration. Identify technical risks and analyze the development of mitigation strategies. Coordinate with staff from multiple organizations to support related tasks and provide information back to appropriate project managers. Lead and facilitate meetings with appropriate task and project members and document after action items are completed and follow up on tasks with due dates.

Basic Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in a professional work environment
• Experience with managing IT projects
• Experience with life cycle and project management methodologies
• Experience with tracking costs, schedule, and performance progress
• Ability to identify and mitigate risks
• BA or BS degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Systems, Business or related scientific or technical field or an additional 8 years of experience in a professional work environment in lieu of a degree

• Experience in the VA
• Experience with implementing EHRs
