The Project Manager ensures that project goals and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters as set forth by the VP Atlas Construction. Manages, plans, and coordinates construction activities related to the Sand Mining Industry. This role will be based from a home office, with travel as necessary up to 90% to West Texas depending on the phase of the project.
Responsibilities:
- Establishes work plans and multi-disciplinary staffing through sub-contractors for each phase of a prescribed project
- Produces line item budgets for review
- Manages sub-contractors and their workforce
- Develops and outlines work plans, assigns duties, and responsibilities, and monitors activities of project personnel to ensure project progress
- Tracks project status and prepares status reports to management
- Provides technical advice and confers with project staff to resolve problems
- Facilitate the PO Procedure
- Manage and present project documents
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years recent experience as a Project Manager on construction related projects
- Proficient with MS Excel, Word and Power Point
- Working experience with an ERP, Epicor preferred
- Ability to travel extensively during construction, project to be based in West Texas
- Ability to work in a cross functional team
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
