VayK Gear is a fast growing marketing partner for beach Vacation Rental Management (VRM) companies in the southeast US. We currently operate in beaches in South Carolina, Florida and North Carolina. Our unique program makes VRM properties more appealing to renters (Guests) by having beach gear and services included with their rentals. Through our partnerships we improve Guest satisfaction, increase the number of property rentals per year and drive year-over-year repeat rentals. But more importantly we put smiles on hundred of thousand of beach goers by delivering and picking up bikes, kayaks, chairs, umbrellas, fishing trips, bonfires to beach Guests. Guests arrive at their properties to find VayK Beach Gear waiting for them and when they leave VayK Gear picks it up. No packing, no crowded cars, no worries.

We are looking for a Territory Manager for our Charleston area servicing Kiawa Island, Folly Beach, Sullivans Island and Isle of Palms

This is a year-round position.

Job Description

Territory Delivery Manager

We are looking for a self driving professional to ensure our guests and partners have an uncommonly excellent experience. This includes making sure all aspects of our beach gear delivery program (planning, warehouse, inventory, staff, etc) operate safely, effectively, efficiently and, above all, professionally.

This position will be located in the North Charleston, NC and support deliveries all over the Chsarleston Beaches. We are looking for a manager that can be effective while putting smiles on the faces of families and vacationers who user our beach gear.

We provide EXCELLENT CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE and as we grow our success depends on maintaining this but at a much larger scale.

This position reports to the managing partner and Director of Operations.

This position is perfect for someone who wants to join fast growing company and have a large impact. We need someone who can see the big picture and make learned decisions but can also roll up their sleeves.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for the delivery and pickup of Beach Gear to vacation guests in a Safe, timely and effective manner.
• Maintaining proper staffing levels for seasonal and off season demands.
• Managing and tracking inventory levels.
• Company Vehicle maintenance and safety
• Using company software for the planning and routing of delivery and pickups
• Responsible for the Territory Operational Budget and ensuring key goals are met.
• Maintaining all aspects of operational safety.
• Ensuring company policies and procedures are met and ensuring all staff is trained, prepared.
• Determine purchasing needs for gear, tools, and operational equipment.
• Choose, operate and configure systems used for operation management.

Abilities

• Passionate about developing uncommonly excellent customer experience.
• Must be organized
• Be able to hire and manage an effective seasonal staff.
• Ability to use the company’s software and management programs for delivery management
• Must be internet proficient
• Warehouse or logistics experience preferred.
• Must be able to manage a budget.

Skills:

• EXTREMELY PROACTIVE
• High functioning ability work remotely
• Ability to communicate with management effectively verbally or written
• Must be able to hire seasonal staff and manage effectively
• Technical aptitude and/or experience with cloud based business systems.
• Some mechanical aptitude – hooking up trailers to trucks, fixing beach gear (simple bike maintenance, etc(
• Must be able to keep the warehouse and operations organized and clean, particularly in busy times
• Must be willing to train staff on policy and procedures amd ensure they are followed

Job requirements:

• Live near North Charleston, NC
• Must be able to travel (1 to 2 weeks a year)
• Excellent driving record
• Must be able to work weekends.
• College Degree or equivalent work experience. People with leadership experience in the military do well in this position
• Would like to have 2 to 5 years experience in logistics, warehouse management or process efficiency – or an equivalent background

Systems we use:

• Microsoft office/G-suite
• Various cloud based and home built applications for warehouse, inventory and delivery management
• Must be proficient with computers and cloud-based systems.

Candidates are not expected to be experts or even have experience with in the systems we use but would need to show a demonstrated history, ability or aptitude with similar platforms or tools. Candidate will be expected to manage these tools for the company and/or assess new tools as needed as they relate to customer experience to support company growth.

Salary: $40,000.00 to $42,000.00 /year
