Job Summary

  • The Senior Project Manager oversees/manages multiple large projects, in varying stages of the project life cycle. They lead cross-functional teams responsible for large, complex strategic initiatives on behalf of the health system. This position is a servant leader that will oversee all aspects of assigned projects including defining, planning, organizing, establishing deadlines, assigning responsibilities, monitoring, and summarizing project progress utilizing multiple project methodologies.
  • Performance goals are to ensure quality project deliverables, on time enforcing time boxes, and on budget. They collaborate with sponsors, stakeholders, team members, vendors, and other departments to ensure the projects are completed within the expectations documented in the charters. The position is empowered to manage staff if needed to meet the stated goals of the projects they manage.

Education

  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s degree or applicable work experience required
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Health Care Administration, Business, Computer Science, or other relevant area

Experience

  • Minimum Qualifications
  • Minimum of 7 years’ project management experience, including medium to large projects.
  • Must have held previous traditional and agile project management or management related positions
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum 7 years of experience using formal project management methodology, techniques and tools preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience in a healthcare environment working with clinical and/or departmental systems implementations preferred.

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries

  • Current CSM or equivalent agile certification preferred
  • Current PMP certification preferred

Schedule: Full-time, Day shift, Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
