The department of Dermatology is actively seeking a Senior Manager, Programs to lead administrator for Masters in Skin Science Program. This position is responsible for the development of the online program, to include the system design, development of courses, creation of materials and day-to-day management of online educational programs.

CORE JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Ensures quality control of consistency that required components of online education programs meet the accreditation standards and complies with established policies.
  • Designs and develops online education curriculum for Masters in Skin Science Program. To include the development of graduate courses, coursework and electronic course materials.
  • Assist faculty with preparing instructional material and developing outlines with the necessary basic detail to direct instruction.
  • Formulates and recommends programs, goals and objectives for online education programs.
  • Provides leadership in the identification and development of new courses.
  • Works with and/or coordinates with other University departments to develop a comprehensive program of distance learning activities and modalities.
  • Remains current on distance learning, online educational trends, changes, developments and teaching strategies.
  • Provide online support and coaching to faculty using designated curricula, including coaching on teaching strategies, helping to connect them with outside resources relating to online teaching and learning strategies, and assistance in leading course activities and lessons.
  • Serves as a liaison between students and online instructors.
  • Obtains student evaluations of online courses. Ensures timely follow-up and response to students.
  • Work with Department Chair and Program Director to produce reports for internal stakeholders and accreditation programs.
  • Develops and monitors the online program budget. Computes instructional costs, (material, equipment, maintenance) for use in budget projections and measures cost effectiveness.

  • Recruits program participants, members and volunteers utilizing most appropriate promotional or marketing methods, such as individual letters, brochures or presentations at meetings
  • Participates in district-wide college committees to network and promote assigned program.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field required
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience

  • Ability to establish department goals, and objectives that support the strategic plan.
  • Ability to effectively plan, delegate and/or supervise the work of others.
