• Experience with the different roles of a full SDLC process, from concept to coding to release management
• Experience leading a mix of in-house, remote, and outsourced developers, while working within a budget
• Familiarity with agile tools and processes, and educated opinions about how to apply them
• A strong grasp of computer science fundamentals, design patterns, data structure, and software engineering principles, and good judgement about when to bend or break those rules to deliver results

• Negotiate specs with stakeholders and then deliver what you promise on time
• Troubleshoot and resolve performance and scalability issues in our apps and services
• Produce readable, maintainable code that mostly follows (and sometimes leads) the team’s standards
• Adhere to industry standards around software security and data handling best practices, then rapidly adjust as threats and standards change

Impress us with these extra skills, passions, or experience:

• Development of native apps for mobile devices
• Build and deployment automation scripts, or other release management duties
• Unit testing using JavaScript or DbUnit testing frameworks
• Build system integrations with third parties like SendGrid, Twilio, DocuSign, mapping APIs, or QuickBooks
• Understanding of compliance requirements surrounding GDPR, CCPA, AB5, and other laws
• Keep an eye out for new technologies or marketplace trends that might make us all more effective
• A background involving mystery shopping, customer experience evaluation, or management in our clients’ industries (restaurant, retail, or hotel)

Location Info

A Closer Look is based in the heart of historic Norcross, GA. While we are happy to offer some flexibility for remote workers, this position will primarily require in-office work for the foreseeable future.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $90,000.00 to $95,000.00 /year
