Gruen is looking for a full-time, innovative and experienced Senior Architect and/or Project Manager with experience in various building types. Qualified candidates should be aspirational and familiar with the building type, technologies, and applicable codes, able to work effectively as part of an overall design team, and experienced with AutoCAD and Revit programs. Senior staff will work closely with principals and lead staff members on each project from schematic design through construction administration. Ideal candidates should demonstrate leadership, initiative, have the drive and handle multiple responsibilities. We provide opportunities for career advancement and promotion. Key Aspects of Position:

  • Relevant and progressive experience in architecture/retail interior
  • Solid understanding of building codes and thorough knowledge of architectural construction drawings
  • Experience with design process from Concept, Schematics, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Permitting, Bid Phase, Construction Administration and Project Close-out
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams, work closely with principals and staff members
  • Provide project management duties to include project schedule and budget
  • Must be an excellent problem solver and demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in their work
  • Should be highly organized and able to manage and coordinate project information and documents
  • Engage with clients with well-articulated proposals and presentations
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment
  • Write project narratives and design reports
  • Generate high-quality project graphics

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 10 years minimum full-time professional experience, after graduation
  • High proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, 3D modeling skills in Rhino and SketchUp a plus
  • Capability in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Degree in Architecture is required.
