Scope of this Position:
- Effectively manages, hires, trains and supervises the Rooms Division Management (Front Desk and Housekeeping) staff and conducts performance evaluations and coaches and counsels employees when necessary.
- Clearly describes, assigns and delegates responsibility and authority for the operation of the various Rooms Division departments.
- Implements effective control of operating expenses and labor costs among all Rooms Division departments.
- Develops and/or assists the Rooms Division Managers in developing procedures and the operating tools necessary in order to ensure profitability, e.g. budgeting, forecasting purchasing specifications, rooms inventory controls, etc.
- Works within approved budget; develops and implements cost saving measures; contributes to profits and revenue.
- Plans and/or administers training and develops programs within the department which will provide well-trained employees at all levels.
- Analyzes information concerning the Rooms Division operation such as daily room rates, operating expenses and labor costs.
Qualified Candidates will possess the following:
- Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in Hospitality Management or equivalent and four or more years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous Housekeeping and Guest Services supervisory experience is required.
