JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

iDeal Floors is a family-owned company looking for an experienced and dynamic individual to be responsible for managing projects. The qualified candidate will have 3-5 years progressive project management experience, preferably in the flooring industry and be familiar with all aspects of the home improvement industry. This position is responsible for managing projects before, during and post installation. Successful candidates will enjoy working in a high production, fast paced environment and have demonstrated decision making skills, preferably experience in Construction Management or a related field or equivalent work experience.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Participate in pre-installation meetings with sales and estimating to review project scope, materials, budget, drawings, etc.
  • Confirm key components of the project are complete prior to installation, including installation timeline, materials are pulled and staged, shipment is on delivery schedule and job is reviewed.
  • Review reports, production schedules and perform site inspections as needed.
  • Review issues and monitor adherence to company standards.
  • Perform final walk through post installation.
  • Review and approve invoices and assist subcontracts as needed.

MONITOR WORK FOR QUALITY AND TAKE ACTION IF NECESSARY

  • Provide constructive feedback and direction to address issues or problems.
  • Communicate any concerns/fixes with customer, if appropriate.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and address concerns from beginning to completion of project.

MONITOR THE PROJECT SCHEDULE THROUGH COMPLETION, TO STAY ON TIME AND BUDGET

  • Coordinate all hidden damage updates, revisions, change orders and any supplements.
  • Maintain project management documentation and record all milestones as they are completed.
  • Attend staff meetings to keep projects and activities running smoothly.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years experience in progressive project management preferred.
  • Experience in Construction Management or a related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Current valid Driver License.
  • Travel Required in the DFW region and must maintain a good driving record.
  • Experience with RFMS, a plus.
  • Floor covering experience and excellent understanding of installation & good floor covering product knowledge preferred.
  • Ability to create detailed material take-off; primarily through field measurements and diagrams.
  • Highly efficient, organized, and able to work closely with Installation Manager to meet shifting priorities and demands.
  • Basic computer skills, including internet knowledge, and working proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and database applications.
