Regional Collegiate Manager Job Description

This position can be located in either Kansas City or the Omaha/Lincoln areas

mission:

  • support the brands of 5-hour ENERGY® by planning, managing and directing collegiate activity in a specified territory, as to develop the brand and influence sales.
  • day-to-day management of 15 college campus ambassadors including hiring, training, on-going coaching, and field work.
  • collaborate with peers, field marketing, and sales team to reach strategic goals and continue to evolve as the brand grows.
  • develop and execute strategic monthly plans to drive trial among new users and expand the consumer base in the collegiate universe through events and sampling.
  • develop key relationships on campus to better access the target market and grow sales.

core responsibilities:

  • management
  • manage collegiate activities in your territory, including product logistics, idea development, project management, and network development.
  • planning
  • with your campus ambassadors, generate opportunities for involvement in events and sampling that fit the brand.
  • along with your campus ambassadors, create and develop a campus plan for each school in your territory.
  • collaborate with peers to set the strategy for the collegiate initiatives.
  • plan and execute an annual orientation and on-boarding for campus ambassadors.
  • communicate
  • communicate best practices and challenges from the field to Director of Collegiate Marketing.
  • collaborate with sales counterparts to execute programs and sponsorships that promote sales.
  • forming relationships on campus to build a network for 5-Hour ENERGY® and supported brands. Build those relationships and utilize them as resources for access to the target market.
  • monitor & reporting
  • recap all event and sampling activities.
  • weekly reporting of campus activities on team calls.
  • hold bi-monthly calls with all of your campus ambassadors.
  • maintain accurate inventory records and report monthly.

core requirements:

  • must live in the specified territory
  • must possess a college degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Marketing, Communications or related study.
  • ability to travel up to 50% during peak times; overnight travel required.
  • 3-4 years’ experience in marketing, promotions, events or related consumer-focused field.
  • must be proficient in ms office: microsoft word, excel, power point, and internet navigation
  • Proven track record leading successful teams. Planning experience, project management, and successful track record of working independently are musts.

Salary/Benefits: Salary based on experience; discretionary bonus based on performance; medical & dental; company vehicle; home office; and communication stipend.
