Prepares work to be estimated by gathering proposals, specifications, and related documents
Identifies and confirms product availability, Specifications and Product Alternates if necessary
Put together accurate take-offs and prepare cost estimates including soliciting vender quotes
Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
Presents prepared estimate by assembling and displaying numerical and descriptive information
Reviews Formal quote prior to Distribution.
Prepares Product Specs and documents as needed for Customer’s Project Submittal
Maintains cost data base by entering and backing up data
Maintains technical knowledge by reviewing technical publications
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Track job costs and maintain budget to ensure financial goals are met for each project
Work closely with Field Supervisors and Glaziers in coordinating and scheduling
Estimate, prepare proposals and track all change orders for the projects.
Maintain and develop strong relationships with vendors, sub-contractors, customers and glaziers
Must have ability to multitask and run several projects at various stages simultaneously
Product knowledge and experience with project managing aluminum and glass systems including interior glass walls, entrances, and interior glazing projects
Must have ability to take-off and order materials, coordinate and manage a commercial project from start to finish without supervision
Must have ability to read and interpret architectural drawings
Creating shop drawings in AutoCAD for glazing projects
Skills and Qualifications:
Analytical skills to analyze information, estimate, plan and report research results
Data center experience, strategic planning and attention to detail
Excellent communication skills with customers with the ability to communicate product knowledge as it relates to quote
Support Customer Service with experienced product knowledge
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and meet strict guidelines and timelines
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma and Two-Year Degree preferred.
At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment specific to Glass and Aluminum Industry. Customer Service experience preferred.
