Project Manager

Job Objectives:

We are looking for someone with demonstrated experience delivering multiple projects with cross functional delivery teams. Our ideal candidate has the right mix of technical and project management skills to successfully deliver within measures of scope, time, cost, and quality. This position is responsible for managing projects delivering and deploying solutions in Business Intelligence, Infrastructure, Business Process Improvement, and Custom Application Development. This Project Manager must have experience in data centric projects that can be translated into understanding and management of projects that may include Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, and Data Integrations. This candidate must also be able to manage projects focusing on compliance and operational business processes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
• Establish National’s Agile and Waterfall project management methodologies
• Develop a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
• Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
• Build collaborative relationship with business partners including Operations, HR, IT, and CRM
• Develop and maintain regular communications to support leadership and business partner team communications
• Lead ad hoc projects with cross functional teams supporting key business goals
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Develop spreadsheets, diagrams, and process maps to document needs

Performance Requirements:

• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
• Ensure resource availability and allocation
• Manage the relationship with all stakeholders
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
• Implement and train project methodologies to National staff
• Report and escalate to management as needed

Job Specifications:

• Strong knowledge of Agile principles and practices and capacity to understand specific needs or requirements to apply skills/knowledge
• Experience in business analysis, product/project management, or product development
• Experience successfully delivering solutions on an aggressive schedule
• Experience delivering both infrastructure and development/application projects
• Demonstrated ability to influence team and key stakeholders
• Excellent presentation skills
• Ability to work in ambiguity and iterate to a solution – can estimate and solve basic business problems without explicit direction
• Creative, flexible, and willing to continuously change, evolve, and improve software development processes
• Demonstrated technical leadership and direction
• Demonstrated program-level collaboration and system architecture understanding
• Strong communication, collaboration, leadership, conflict resolution, budgeting and time management skills
• CSM (Certified Scrum Master) or PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus
