Project Manager
Summary:
This position is responsible for managing the cost, schedule, and quality assurance of the Urenco Operations and Maintenance contract.
The PM is the sole representative for the company and the single interface with the customer. The Project Manager is responsible for the day to day management and all personnel actions with the coordination of headquarters senior leadership and support staff (HR, Finance, Procurement, and Contracts). The PM prepares and manages project operations in accordance with the contract Statement of Work, approved Company Directives, department procedures, and approved Project Execution Plans. The PM is responsible for coordinating support requirements with the HQ functional staffs. The PM is directly responsible for executing the assigned project within the projected scope, budget and schedule. The PM conducts scheduled briefings on Program/Project status/progress. The PM is responsible for updating and maintaining all associated records involved with the program/project.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for developing, coordinating and executing plans for their assigned project. Instrumental in the development of scope, cost and schedule including ensuring work plans are developed to execute the contract, developing budget forecasts.
- Ensures compliance with corporate policies and Code of Business Ethics on all assigned projects.
- Lead the organization in the development of cost effective and innovative customer solutions.
- Develop quality control and monitoring plans and ensure QC reports are provided to the customer in a timely manner.
- Develop project key performance indicators for each department to ensure performance is tracked to corresponding goals.
- Develop and manage business activities in accordance with an approved Project Plan.
- Ensure program is run within specification, measured against cost, schedule and performance.
- Prepare and conduct scheduled Program/Project status briefings.
- Maintain positive communications with senior leadership and customers while developing customer relations strategies.
- Develop organizational depth through subordinate leader mentoring, performance management, professional development and succession planning.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Must have 8 years of general experience in program support and 4 years specialized experience managing small to medium sized, multi-task contracts conducting vehicle maintenance, facility maintenance, custodial operations, environmental services, grounds maintenance, and/or utilities services.
- Experience in critical thinking and problem solving skills to include organizing and structuring organizations to eliminate waste and drive performance
- Valued but not required Skills and Experience:
- Engineering or mechanical skills
- Advanced degree
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor of Arts or Science
- Experience in contract scheduling of personnel
- Experience in Human Resources Management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of products
- PMP certification
