As a Talent/Benefits Project Manager for Ultimate Software, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and successfully implementing new and cycle-based projects for all of our customers. You will manage a high volume with low to medium complexity projects simultaneously, effectively communicating and negotiating resource, cost, and timeline information to our internal and external customers. You will exercise leadership and organizational management skills to ensure all assigned projects meet time and cost estimates. The Project Manager works with assigned team members to ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget while meeting the customer’s stated and implied business needs.
Primary/Essential Duties and Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and communicate project work plans, scope requirements, timeline, and project resourcing requirements to appropriate stakeholders
- Revise and communicate project timeline, as needed, to meet changing situations
- Manage projects using Ultimate’s methodology standards
- Ensure that both customers and team members are meeting their project commitments in order to assure a successful customer implementation
- Communicate, using a variety of mediums, project status, risks, and options to both internal and external stakeholders
- Will be the point of contact before the project timeline is set up and will be the one talking to the client prior to scheduling the kickoff calls about training, access to the customer portal or any other question the client might have.
- Will be in contact with the core DM/PM about any issues during the core project that might cause a delay on the Talent/Benefit project, to ensure customer readiness
- Coordinate data conversion activities that impact the Talent products
Required Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong, effective decision-making and multi-tasking skills within stringent deadlines
- Knowledgeable of the human resources/recruiting/benefits discipline
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet changing scope and resource situations
- Strong organizational and time management skills
Experience, Education, Certification, License and Training:
- 1-2 years Project Coordinator/Manager with an HCM background
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- PMP Certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage high volume of projects simultaneously
- Proven consulting experience partnering with customers and executives
- Experience in a product-based software development environment a plus

Physical Requirements:
- Able to work on a computer for long periods of time.
- Able to talk on the phone
Travel Requirements:
- 15-20% travel, as required
