Program Overview:
NADAP’s CareerCompass, one component in HRAâs initiative to address the unique needs of improving employment and training outcomes in NYC, provides orientation, comprehensive and individual employability assessments and service coordination for adults 25 years of age and older. As the first step in HRAâs programming, CareerCompass will identify and connect individuals to an education, training and/or employment track.
The Program Manager assists the Program Director in planning, developing, managing and implementing the CareerCompass Program and provides supervision for Vocational Case Management and Career Services Coordinator team. The CSC Manager collaborates with the Business Manager and Supervisors of Instructional and Employment Service units to help ensure the program meets all program goals, services and milestones.

Position Summary
To help manage the CC Manhattan Program and ensure that services are provided in an effective and efficient manner to assist clients in achieving self-sufficiency via employment. To ensure that the program meets goals and objectives set by the funding source.
Essential Functions
- Manages the outreach efforts, program enrollment and job development units for CES to ensure client enrollment. Supervise and monitor daily work activities, job performance and productivity, attendance and punctuality. Assist with case issues and ensures that services are provided in compliance with program policies and procedures.
- Provides administrative supervision to the Outreach and Engagement Specialist and Job Developers. Monitors and evaluates the performance of staff (including corrective action plan and performance improvement plan development).
- Act as a liaison between all employment teams, clients, and the senior management team.
- Compiles data and completes reports and deliverables on various contracts.
- Develops procedures and appropriate forms necessary for efficient operations. Advises and consults program administration on vocational activities and recommends policy and procedural changes as necessary.
- Assists in screening, hiring and training staff.
- Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors and treatment programs to ensure that clients are receiving appropriate services and offer interventions as necessary.
- Verifies the submission of employment and work activity milestones for billing.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience
Bachelor’s Degree required
7 Years relevant experience
Requires thorough knowledge of Career Services in a Human Resource Administration capacity.
Experience working with individuals from various social service populations.
Ability to present program idea to HRA vendors and create innovative ideas to move the Career Compass program forward.
